This aluminum 7050 alloy powder is heat treated and air classified to both improve mechanical properties and remove surface contaminants from particles which impact cold spray performance. SAAM-AL7050-G1H3 is suitable for a wide variety of high-pressure cold spray applications but is optimized for deposition using helium as the carrier gas to achieve structural-level performance. Nitrogen carrier gas can also be used for cosmetic applications. Powder is spherical and has excellent flow characteristics. This product is thermally processed, packaged, and shipped under an oxygen and moisture free, inert atmosphere. Powder is packaged in mylar bags ranging from 1-10 lbs each. Each lot of powder is characterized to ensure quality with a shelf life of 3 years.
