This chromium carbide material is agglomerated with nickel to achieve very hard, wear, and impact resistant properties. This material was designed for manufacturing coatings applied via cold spray with either nitrogen or helium and can be build up to coating thicknesses >0.25” with minimal porosity. Deposits can be machined by either milling or turning and/or ground. WIP – C1 has very high flowability and is inertly vacuum sealed for long shelf life and transport. WIP – C1 can be vacuum packaged in 1, 2.5, 10 pound bags.
