This tungsten carbide-based powder is engineered with fine nickel powder agglomerated around the surface of the core particle to achieve very hard, wear, and impact resistant properties with sufficient deposition efficiency. This material was designed as a coating applied via cold spray using helium as the carrier gas and can be deposited using both long and short nozzles suitable for bore applications. Deposits can be ground by either silicon carbide or diamond media.
