Wear and Impact | Cold Spray

Wear and impact resistant tungsten carbide-based material designed specifically for cold spray coating buildup using N2 as the carrier gas. This material typically requires a bond-coat when cold spraying onto hard substrates (WIP-BC1).

This tungsten carbide-based powder is engineered with a nickel super alloy constituent which enables effective bonding when cold sprayed using nitrogen carrier gas. Resulting coatings are designed for applications where high wear and impact resistance is required. Deposits can be ground by either silicon carbide or diamond media. WIP – W2 has very high flowability and is inertly vacuum sealed for long shelf life and transport. WIP – W2 can be vacuum packaged in 1, 2.5, 10-pound bags.
